Toothbrush Holder Germs

Toothbrush Holder Germs

Do you clean out your toothbrush holder? Sure, the bristles never touch the inside, but that doesn’t mean that your toothbrush isn’t covered in bacteria from being stored inside it. Extremely dangerous bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli can grow inside the container.

To keep from spreading and potentially becoming infected with these bacteria, try to clean and disinfect your toothbrush holder once a week. You can either wash the tooth brush holder using a mixture of vinegar and water or even pop it into the top rack of your dishwasher. Some people submerge their toothbrush holders in a bath of mouthwash, but even the most potent mouthwash’s astringent and antibacterial properties shouldn’t be relied on to eliminate such dangerous bacteria.

Keep those containers clean, guys!
