Tonya DuBois is a certified physician assistant at Healthcare Express. She has experience working in cardiology, urology, family practice, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, general surgery, emergency medicine and urgent care.

Tonya graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from Wichita State University’s Physician Assistant Program in Wichita, Kansas.  Tonya also earned her Emergency Medical Technician certificate from Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas.

Prior to working at Healthcare Express, Tonya worked as a physician assistant at Rush Family Healthcare in Texarkana, Texas and as a physician assistant at the Heart Center of North Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.  During her career in medicine, Tonya has also been affiliated with the Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth; Baylor All Saints Medical Center; Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital and Lake Granbury Medical Center. 

While getting her education, Tonya was a physical therapy technician at the Centre for Rehabilitation Excellence in Longview Texas.  She also worked for Cessna Aircraft Company as an engineering technical assistant in Wichita, Kansas.

Tonya is licensed by the Texas Board of Physician Assistants and is certified in advanced cardiac life support and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Tonya is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Phi Theta Kappa and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

In her spare time, Tonya enjoys helping animals. Since 2006, Tonya has worked with the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society rehabilitating abused and neglected horses.
