Kevin McCann is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) and part-owner of Healthcare Express.

Kevin earned his master’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1997.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1994 and his associate’s degree in nursing from Texarkana College in 1991.

Kevin became a board certified nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 1998.  He is also certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support.

Prior to completing his nurse practitioner degree, Kevin worked for four years in a medical intensive care unit and emergency department as an RN.  After becoming an FNP, Kevin worked at AHEC-SW for two years in a family practice clinic.  He also served as a clinical instructor for the University of Arkansas for Medical Services College of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner Program.

Additionally, Kevin has served as an instructor for Pharmacology and Physical Assessment at the University of Arkansas College of Nursing in Hope, Arkansas.  Kevin also worked at the Wadley Regional Medical Clinic Emergency Department, Fast Track, for six years as a nurse practitioner.

Kevin left Wadley Regional Medical Clinic to open Healthcare Express with partners Tim Reynolds, H.J. Platt and Steven Foltz.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys reading and spending time watching his son’s baseball games and band performances.
